We're building a better museum
The Australian Museum will be CLOSED to visitors from 19 August 2019 for approximately 12 months, to enable us to start work on our major renovation, Project Discover.
Centrally located opposite Hyde Park in Sydney, the Australian Museum was established in 1827 and has an international reputation in the fields of natural history and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, research, community programs and exhibitions.
Tours available seven days a week, 9.30am–5pm.
Please note minimum bookings of 10 guests.
Bookings must be made in advance.
Contact Tourism Coordinator Carole Betts Carole-Ann.Betts@austmus.gov.au for all bookings and enquiries.
For those who are interested in nature, animals or cultural objects, you shouldn’t miss this museum. wuwuwoo, TripAdvisor
