Reconciliation is about improving relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the broader Australian community. Schools play an important role in building cohesive communities and are vital starting points for respectful and positive relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people.

For this annual art competition students in Years 5-10 were encouraged to create an artwork that reflects the theme 'Say Something!' It was an opportunity for them to express their understanding and appreciation of the issues facing Indigenous Australians today.

A selection of outstanding artworks exploring reconciliation from the perspectives of young people will be exhibited at the Australian Museum. Take a look at their inspiring works from across New South Wales.
