Identification:

Five arms rounded in cross-section, tapering to a narrow, rounded point. Aboral surface red-brown with numerous small spinelets appearing as yellow flecks.

Distribution:

Subtropical and temperate, inshore and continental shelf areas from Moreton Bay, Qld, to Ulladulla NSW and possibly Bass Strait; Norfolk Island. Depth range 5-110 m.
