Strictly adults only, Jurassic Lounge features bone-rattling DJ beats, puppeteers, ghost tours, dancers, electronic megafauna, scientists and much more.

Jurassic Lounge brings the nation’s first museum to life after-hours for lovers of parties, live music, alternative experiences and good food and drink. We’re dying to see you!

Do I need to book?

Most Jurassic Lounge events sell out in advance, so don’t be left for dead.

Will there be food and drinks on the night?

Five pop-up bars and two eateries will be open on the night, including our rooftop restaurant, No. 1 William.

Does everybody dress up?

It’s Halloween, so whether you’re ghoulish or glam, come dressed to scare if you dare and you could go home with cool prizes. Can’t get it sorted? Our make-up artists can apply last-minute slashes and gore, details on the night.

Can I volunteer to help on the night?

Join Australian Museum Events Volunteer Program and lend a hand at Jurassic Lounge and future events at the Museum.

Are photos allowed?

They’re borderline compulsory!

Are kids and teens allowed?

Nope, they’re always welcome in the daytime, but Jurassic Lounge is strictly an 18+ event.
