Students will find out how to use water quality collecting and testing equipment and look at how we impact our water ways and what we can do take to improve our catchments.

Key topics include:

  • Why water quality is important for biodiversity
  • How to conduct a water quality survey
  • How to conduct a water audit in your school

This event is run in conjunction with the Museum in a Box® program and includes the use of the Freshwater Box for a three week period. The Freshwater box provides teachers and students with the equipment and information to conduct a water audit, water quality survey and macro invertebrate study at school. The Freshwater box aims to enrich students understanding of Freshwater environments, starting in the local environment and reflecting on a global scale.

Standard Museum in a Box prices apply plus $99.00 per class for the video conference.

Bookings can be made through the Distance and Rural Technologies or contact us to request a time.
