Celebrate National Science Week at the Australian Museum Science Festival (AMSF), Australia’s largest school science festival.
Over 400 interactive workshops, talks and shows produced by leading institutions will educate and excite both children and adults about science from 8-18 August in 2017.
Super Science Saturday on 12 August 2017 is open to everyone including community visitors and industry professionals. School groups take over the museum Tuesday-Friday during the festival for a special program of events.

AMSF volunteers are the ambassadors of this event, helping the small team of 4 help visitors navigate the event, provide useful information making them feel welcomed and excited at the AMSF. The support of AMSF volunteers is integral to the delivery of this event which saw over 10, 000 visitors in just 2 weeks in 2016! Our volunteers are the face, heart and soul of the AMSF; they are the embodiment of enthusiasm and science personified!
