Every year students and teachers are invited to join in the biggest celebration of science for schools, presented by the Australian Museum in collaboration with over 50 other leading organisations.

With interactive workshops, shows, and a speciality Expo demonstrating the latest in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM), it’s hard not to get inspired!

Super Science Saturday shares the Science Festival celebrations of the Australian Museum with everyone! There are explosive stage shows, hands-on experiments, live animals and even a few dinosaurs walking around. Curiosity is sure to be piqued, no matter your age.

Register your interest in the 2019 festival!

The Science Festival celebrates National Science Week. Held at the Australian Museum, there are around 400 interactive workshops, talks and shows tailored to students, community visitors and industry professionals. The event creates an opportunity for students and the general public to talk to scientists and educators from leading institutions to discover the relevance and role of science within their local community, and find out how they could get involved with it all.

The dates for the 2019 festival are 6-16 August.

During the Festival we showcase a range of scientific fields and their various applications in everyday life to students in order to help them realise the breadth of science and potential future careers.
