Self guided program

Students explore the world of dinosaurs through skeletons, life-size models, skulls, teeth, claws and other fossils.

Self guided program (Stage 1 - Stage 3)

Students investigate when and where dinosaurs lived, Australian dinosaurs, predator and prey, living dinosaurs and extinction. They experience the drama of a dinosaur stampede that occurred 95 million years ago in Queensland in a life size animation. As well as exploring the many hands-on and interactive exhibits, students can examine a life-size T-Rex model.

Location: Level 2

Cost: Dinosaurs is included in general entry. General entry to the Australian Museum is FREE for children under 16 and local secondary school students. Teachers and accompanying adults are admitted free at a ratio dependent on the type of students. Adults, tertiary, concession and tourist groups incur a cost.
