Sheree is a Birri woman of South Sea descent. She has served her community in both a legal and political capacity. She has been involved in the Aboriginal Medical Service , Legal Service, child care affairs and media service; the Eora Foundation; AHMRC ethics; and has served as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commissioner on the Parole Board and as an Official Visitor for Juvenile Justice.

Sheree continues to drive social justice initiatives in the Indigenous community. She is passionate about Aboriginal over-representation in custody, mining, health issues, issues of a treaty and the overall improvement of Aboriginal rights.
