Maureen is a PhD candidate working with Dr. Jodi Rowley and Corey Callaghan. She is delighted to combine her passions for citizen science, amphibian conservation, and big data by using the Frog ID data set to look at patterns in frog biodiversity across Australia.

After a few years as a wandering hippie, Maureen attended The Evergreen State College in Washington State and received a Bachelors of Science in 2009. She then spent several years as an itinerant field biologists before being drawn back to school by the prospect of pooling together grey data to complete a USGS funded assessment of bat mortality at wind farms across the U.S. She completed a Masters in Natural Resource Ecology and Management at Oklahoma State University in 2015. Originally from a big family in Connecticut, Maureen enjoys reading, running, baking pies, eating pies, and playing with unattended dogs.
