Leopold and Rudolph Blaschka were German glass makers from the late 19th century who specialised in creating highly detailed models of marine biological specimens. They were the 3D modellers of their day.

The Australian Museum holds a collection of nearly 100 of the sea anemone models which are even more delicate than at first due to the passage of time. Below you can examine and move some of the models in virtual space which have been digitised through the process of Photogrammetry. A photograph of the original model is included for comparison
