Introduction

The Dainty Green Tree Frog is a delicate little green and yellow frog from tropical Australia.

Identification

The Dainty Green Tree Frog is easily distinguished from other similar species by the pale stripe running from its nostrils to its ears. It regularly occurs in a golden-yellow form, lacking the blue pigment.

Habitat

The Dainty Green Tree Frog lives in urban areas, especially fruit shops and supermarkets.

Distribution

The Dainty Green Tree Frog is found in tropical Australia.



Other behaviours and adaptations

The Dainty Green Tree Frog occasionally shows up in Sydney, usually in fruit shops where it arrives in banana bunches brought from Queensland and northern New South Wales, hence its other common name.
