Introduction

The Scalyfin is endemic to Australia, occuring in southern States.

Identification

Adults of the species have blue fin margins and pale bars on the gill cover. Base colour varies from yellowish to blackish-grey. Juveniles are bright orange with electric blue lines and spots. There is a large ocellus on dorsal fin.
