Common Seadragon, Phyllopteryx taeniolatus

A male Common Seadragon at a depth of 12 m at 'two poles', off Bateau Bay, New South Wales, 24 December 2005. The fish is carrying eggs under the tail. If you look closely, you'll see a tiny Common Seadragon hatching.
