'We woke up on Halloween at a new site on the Burdwood Bank. Despite the excitement of the holiday, we managed to do 5 trawls that day, which was quite a lot of sorting. No one let their costumes get in the way of work. And some students were surprised to find a rubber ear that we secretly hid in the trawl, along with a joke severed finger! The next day we lost our last trawl and net, which effectively brought sampling to an end.'
