Reconstructing dinosaurs from skeletons

Once fossils are prepared and preserved, the bones are assembled and a detailed drawing or reconstruction is made of the skeleton. Muscles, tendons and skin are then added to recreate a living dinosaur or other animal. From bottom to top: skeleton, musculature, skin.

What a great idea! We will investigate this further, perhaps basing a simple animation on Anne's beautiful illustrations. Thanks for the suggestion.

It would be wonderful to have an animated version of this process or some video footage if possible.
