Longfin Eel teeth

The vomerine teeth of the Longfin Eel, Anguilla reinhardtii, form a broad stip on the roof of the mouth.

The 113 cm long fish was caught by R. Vella and L. Alsop in January 2000 on hook and line at a depth of 1 m in Eastern Creek, Dean Park, Sydney, New South Wales. It is now registered in the Australian Museum Fish Collection (AMS I.37958-001).
