Larval Red Bass

Larval Red Bass look very different to adults.  At this size, the fish is believed to be a mimic of the Swallowtail Puller (Chomis ternatensis) a species of damselfish.

The fish is now registered in the Australian Museum fish collection (AMS I.45568-003).
