Here is Yianna Georgiou from Roseville College in Sydney, modelling her creation titled ‘Coral Comes Alive’. Note the aqua-coloured patterning over the front of her body piece. It was made by shaping wire into a form inspired by branching deep sea corals. This was wrapped with cream wool and painted in blue. The detachable skirt is made from two single bed sheets, one over the other. Between the sheets, there is an aqua-coloured plastic tablecloth. The aqua colour shows through in areas where the top sheet has been cut away. The branching shapes that are created are white in colour here, in contrast to blue, to remember corals that have been bleached as a result of rising sea temperature.
