Weaving has played a rich and vital cultural role for Aboriginal people over thousands of years.

For a deeper dive into Whales | Tohora, we invite you to learn how to weave a whale sculpture by employing traditional techniques with a combination of natural and recycled materials.

After gaining inspiration in the exhibition, join Elder Aunty Karleen Green as she offers insights into Aboriginal ways of viewing and interacting with the environment and how we can build healthier relationships with these majestic giants of the sea.

This workshop is open to all, from beginners to master weavers.

There will be a 30 minute break for lunch – bring your own or purchase a meal from No. 1 William on Level 4.
