Join us at the Australian Museum for full day workshops presented by Digi Ed, where children write, shoot and edit a short claymation movie using a mix of natural resources, recycled materials, including marine debris, in addition to clay. All materials will be provided and each participant will receive a DVD of their finished product.
These workshops will give kids the skills to enter the University of Sydney’s Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize competition. The University of Sydney Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize is an annual science film competition open to all primary and high school students in Australia. The competition encourages students to explore a scientific concept, discovery or invention, or test their own scientific hypothesis in a 1-3-minute film. Use your new claymation skills and enter! The entries for the 2019 Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prizes are now open. Enter the competition by Friday 3 May. There is a prize pool of $10,000 up for grabs to be shared between the winners and their schools.
