Logan is of Maori heritage and is affiliated with Ngati Kahungunu-Rakai Paaka, iwi tribes. Logan started work in museums at Te Papa in 1998. He has held various roles around exhibitions as a Supervisor in charge of operations to touring exhibitions.

Logan started with the AM in 2002 and has been involved in interpretation and Museum outreach and has acted as the visitor services manager. Logan moved into collection management in 2012 as a Technical officer with the Pacific and International Collections and has assisted in delivering exhibitions and outreach to pacific communities.

His accomplishments include assisting with the opening of the first Pacific gallery on Level 2 and the acquisition of traditionally constructed Hawaiian royal cape (replacement).
