This week, we feature images of a cod swimming more than 1 km below the surface. From one extreme to the other, we have added images of juvenile Common Galaxias schooling in a shallow pool. Other additions include common fishes from coastal waters of south-eastern Australia. Thank you as always to all our contributors!
This week we feature 3 triggerfish movies. Two new blog posts tell us more about the lives of larval fishes and the incredible amalgamation of thee fish families into one. As usual we have posted plenty of new images and combined images of anemonefishes into a gallery.
Last night we had a terrific talk in the beach house by Prof Phil Munday of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies and James Cook University: "Fish in hot water: how will climate change affect coral reef fishes?".
As we constantly hear in the media about how electricity prices have risen and how high they may go people are also worried how high they will go if a carbon tax is introduced. There is a campaign running that says clean energy is too expensive and it fails to say that doing nothing is also a high price to pay.
