External investigators
Funded by
- US National Science Foundation (NSF)
Description
DNA sequence data has been fundamental in identifying numerous genetic lineages, mostly regionally discreet, within the New Caledonian scincid and gekkonid lizards.
Sequences for the mitochondrial ND2 gene have been obtained from approximately 500 individual samples of lizards. These will form the library with which samples from other regions will be compared.
