Badger Bates:

This shield here is a broad shield. I'm Badger Bates, from Wilcannia. Yeah, this one here is beefwood, this one. It’s a grevillea [stareratus] or something, but we just call it beefwood, that’s the common name around Wilcannia and that. And what I done with this one, I got – I put red ochre and emu fat on it, that’s the traditional way and our way, so when we put the red ochre on it gives the shield power. And with the emu fat it sort of helps out.
