  • Upon my death I'd like any useful tissue to be taken from m body and donated to those in medical need (my family are aware of my desire in this matter).
With the remains? I do not want to be embalmed or bried in an expensive coffin. To me it would seem like my family would be wasting money, and at a time which would be emotionally and financially stressful for them anyway. Ideally I would like my unembalmed remains to be buried in a biodegradabe coffin to limit the environmental impact.
Other than this, one thing I would really like, but which is not possible at the moment would be for a bone or set of bones to be removed from my remains for my family to keep as a token. I don't think this is legal (if someone out there KNOWS it isn't and could send me a link to the relevant legislation, I would greatly appreciate this) but I truly wish it were.
