  • I was bitten by a redback . I got up to clean the gutters at 3 AM one night and then went back to bed. I found itch and pain in my right shoulder similar to getting a needle. So i got up but saw no mark on my arm and just went back to bed. Throughout the next day I had the characteristic sweating (oily skin)localised around the itch so about 12 Hrs after the bite I checked the jacket I had worn - sure enough there was a red back spider in my jacket. The marks on my shoulder did not appear noticeable until a day later and the pain was like being stabbed by the doctor with a needle - on a scale about 2 out of ten. I had no nasea or paralasis just the usual oily skin local to the bite.
