• I'm ex-AusMus employee (1990-3) staying in Mount Isa, the nearest big town to Riversleigh. Yesterday our family visited the Riversleigh Fossil Centre at the tourist information bureau here. The display was fascinating but looking a bit tired. Plus there used to be a palaeontologist in residence and there doesn't seem to be now. Riversleigh itself is 250km drive on gravel from here, so Mount Isa is as close as we (and many others) will get. It would be good to the display looking a bit more loved.
