  • I know of a place (booti booti national park) that I can only describe as a funnel web haven. everyday there are anywhere from 2-6 spiders on the bottom of the pool. have to ask why do these spiders always end up in the pool ? and why they leave there burrows even during the cold months? raining or not ! the pool is next steep sloping clay like soil on the edge of a forest. there are silk laden burrows are everywhere, are funnel webs community like spiders.I have counted over 16 at one time in the pool at summer. many people none experts have all said they are funnel webs, me included but the behaviour doesn't fit the bill....can there be that many in one place ?
