  • I hope a third image might help?
  • Here is another Image of the unidentified crayfish from the Coffs Harbour area
  • I've come accros so yabbies in creeks around Coffs Harbour and many seem to be Cherax destructor (or similar) however these guys I can't identify. The speciem I currently have is about 8 centermeters fron tail tip to "nose". the closest looking I can find is Euastacus bispinosus but of course has no rights to be in Coffs Harbour. Can someone help please (see images)
  • This is quite interesting. Are the "fangs" for predation on visitors to the tree based water hole or to assist with transport i.e. clinging on to trees if they need to move. OR just for sucking the blood of an Englishman????
  • Amazing insects and great photography and info David. Looking forward to more. Only spotted my first Owlfly the other day and didn't recognise it as a Lacewing as it was cruising with Dragon flys in the day time! Those long antennae are a bit of a giveaway when you know what your looking at!!!
