• Hi. Two things. Images I have seen of the Funnel Web spider are so much like the one I have uploaded, which I believe is a Trapdoor spider - found in remnant coastal forest in SE Bris. Would it be fair to say the easiest casual identifier is the protruding spinnerets of the Funnel Web?
  And what is your view of the 'kill on sight' attitude that seems to dominate when it comes to Funnel Web spiders? Is there any practical (as opposed to knee-jerk psychological reaction) point to it?
