Abstract

Chlorinoides goldsboroughi Rathbun, previously known from Hawaii, is recorded formally for the first time from eastern Australia near Sydney in 70–125 fins. A new species of the genus, superficially similar to C. golsboroughi, is recorded from off Western Australia between Geraldton and Rottnest Island near Perth in 62–103 fins. The known geographic range of C. tenuirostris is extended from northeastern Australia to Western Australia near Pt Cloates. C. goldsboroughi and the new species are described and figured.
