Abstract
This is the first catalogue of the Australian Museum malacostracan Crustacea type collection. The catalogue consists of 2915 type specimen lots representing 1154 nominal taxa comprising: eleven Stomatopoda, four Anaspidacea, one Thermosbaenacea, five Mysidacea, 333 Amphipoda, 307 Isopoda, eight Tanaidacea, ten Cumacea, one Euphausiacea and 474 Decapoda. Problems associated with the type collection are discussed and a bibliography of all papers associated with these types is included.
