Abstract

Sororsenexa, new genus (Insecta: Diptera: Empididae: Hemerodromiinae), is described from Australia. The genus is monotypic with Sororsenexa macalpinei n.sp. its type species. Systematic relationships with other Hemerodromiinae are discussed and a key to Australian genera of the tribe Chelipodini presented.
