Abstract
Freshwater amphipods from Australian subterranean waters are discussed. Five new genera and fourteen new species are described; the genus Wesniphargus Williams & Barnard is rediagnosed and specimens assigned to W. nichollsi (Straskraba) are fully described; a synopsis of subterranean species is provided.
