E076957 club, wood, northern New South Wales, southern Queensland, Australia.
This wooden club is from the northern New South Wales, southern Queensland area of Australia. The club has been carved from a single piece of wood. It has a straight handle with a pointed base. The diameter of the handle increases slightly towards the top to form the club's head. The head then tapers to a point. Carved incisions towards the base of the club form a grip. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1979.
