E076956 club, wood / metal, north coast New South Wales, Australia.
This wooden club is from the north coast region of New South Wales, Australia. The club has been carved from a single piece of wood. It has a straight handle with a pointed base. The diameter of the handle gradually increases towards the top to form the club's head. The head then tapers to a point. Three rows of nails stud the head of the club. The club was collected by Alexander Morrison in the late 19th or early 20th Century. It was acquired by the Australian Museum in 1979.
