Image: Baby rattle - E081010 #2
A rattle made from 29 shells collected from debris on a beach. They had holes made for stringing the shells with the pointed end of a steel knife. The original string, a two ply 'galawun' (ficus virens) broke, and the shells were restrung by Betty Meehan, who purcashed the work in 1986 from Ms Betty Ngurraba Ngurraba at Ngalijibama, Northern Territory.
