Yellow Striped Hunter Dragonfly - Peter Firus, Secondary School 2006

Dragonflies, as opposed the damselflies, hold their wings horizontal to their body. This photo clearly demonstrates this, as well as their enlarged compound eyes. It was taken early in the morning when the dragonfly was cold and lethargic, making it possible to photograph.
