Image: Willie Wagtail nest built on snaffle bit
Birds can be very resourceful when necessary. The pair of Willie Wagtails who built this nest clearly saw an opportunity for a good nesting site in the ring of this old horse bit. In order to ensure that this very fragile nest and snaffle bit are not damaged, they are housed in a custom-made box.
