Watching the nets, Collingwood Bay, Oro Province, PNG

"Watching the nets. Hunting is one of the most important of native occupations. They surround the large grass patches, beat down the margin all round, rig stout nets on the leeward side. And then fire the patch to windward. Any wild boars or wallabies which break through the fire are speared by the men who follow it.", handwritten caption by Percy Money.
