This mourning vest was worn by a spouse, usually a woman, of a deceased person following the period of mourning. The Museum acquired the vest in 1894.
Description: woman's upper body garment; base of brown plant fibre, looped cord decorated with rows of red, black and white Job's tears seeds strung on thin fibre cord.
