Timor-Leste Terrestrial Expedition #37

'Mt Ramelau is the highest mountain in East Timor, and has religious significance for both the older pre-European religions and for the local Catholics. Pilgrims visit the mountain each year. The Blue Mountains Shire Council has provided aid to improve the tourist infrastructure here, with solar powered street lights in the town, and a very well maintained path up the mountain. Part of this investment has been to create local guides, one of whom is seen in this photo.'
