Image: Surviving Australia exhibition - on a branch
It was one of those chance encounters you sometimes come across when documenting the construction of a new exhibition. Here was our very own version of Survivor: throwing two native animals into an enclosure and seeing who came out the victor. There's also that Dadaist placement of objects that have no meaning at all but makes you smile at the many narrative possibilities.
