Image: Suckerlip Blenny, Andamia amphibius, Solomon Islands
The Suckerlip Blenny, Andamia amphibius, lives high in the rocky intertidal zone where the rocks are being pounded by waves.
Blennies in the genus Andamia have slender bodies, a cup-shaped, fleshy disc (labial disc) behind the lower lip and unbranched caudal (tail) fin rays.
The 7 cm long fish in the image was collected in the Duff Island Group, Solomon Islands.
