Image: Stripey Snapper - Settlement stage
A 22 mm long (SL) preserved settlement stage Stripey Snapper from the Australian Museum Ichthyology Collection (AMS I.41401-144). The white areas of the fish were transparent when it was alive.

Additional information
The fish was caughtat a depth of between 1 m and 3 m, Researchers Beach, Lizard Island, Queensland on 2 February 2001. Some settlement stage larvae lack lateral stripes.
