Image: Stag beetle taking off
I found this beetle on its back in the café of the Mt Kinabalu park headquarters at breakfast while on a photographic trip to Borneo. This shot was taken as I returned the beetle to the nearby rainforest, and it flew away as slowly as an overloaded plane.
