Image: Stabalizing cracks in the resin
An adhesive is carefully fed into the cracks with a very fine brush, and capillary action draws the adhesive under the resin to stick to the woven plant material underneath. Any excess adhesive is mopped up with the cotton wool swab. Residues of the adhesive left on the surface are removed using a solvent.
