Image: Spider with parasitic worm - Michael Williams
While photographing frogs in north Queensland, I came across this St Andrews Cross Spider. Watching with great interest, the spider wrestled with the intruder that had become entangled in its web. I am not sure if the parasite emerged from the spider, or it fell out of a passing vertebrate species.
