Snakes, owls and rats eat Southern Spotted Velvet Geckos.

Southern Spotted Velvet Geckos use their sticky toe pads to help them climb up smooth vertical surfaces. They can run very quickly on all four legs.

Southern Spotted Geckos lay two eggs each breeding season. Young Southern Spotted Velvet Geckos look after themselves.

Geckos usually only come out at night to hunt for food. They have see-through eyelids over their eyes and they can lick their eyes with their tongue to keep them clean.
